Registering your myki
myki money and myki pass are valid for travel on all metropolitan train, tram and bus services including V/Line services in Zone 1 + 2 to Melton and Sunbury.
myki is also operating on regional bus services in Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Seymour, Warragul and the Latrobe Valley. For more information, see regional town bus ticketing.
V/Line train and coach services will begin operating with myki in later stages of the rollout. Keep visiting this website for updates.
Please note: You don't have to register your myki if you don't want to. An unregistered myki is called an anonymous myki.

The benefits of registering your myki include:
Balance protection
If your myki is registered and you report your myki as lost or stolen (via myki.com.au or the call centre), your old card will be cancelled so it cannot be fraudulently used.
The remaining balance can be transferred to a new replacement myki (an administration fee of $9.80 applies to get a new card and transfer the balance).
Auto top up
You have the option to set up your myki account to automatically top up your myki once the myki money balance hits a certain value (e.g. $10).
Manage your account online or via the call centre
This means you can check your balance, days remaining on a myki pass and travel history, arrange top up over the phone or online and change personal details.
Link another person's myki to your own account and manage it
For example you can manage your child's myki.
Make enquiries and obtain tax invoices
This is done over the phone in relation to your myki account.
Please note, a tax invoice will be sent to your email address when you register online at myki.com.au (link opens in a new window)
