Sunday Pass

Victorian Seniors Card holders, Disability Support Pensioners and Carer Payment recipients under 60 and living in Victoria can apply for a Sunday Pass at any Metropolitan Premium Station, staffed V/Line station, or at the MetShop. Application forms are also available at stations, Metcard retail outlets across Melbourne or by downloading a form via the link below:

New applicants for the Sunday Pass

The Sunday Pass replaces the Seniors Sunday Pass. Victorian Seniors Card holders can also apply for a Sunday Pass.


Current Seniors Sunday Pass holders

For current Seniors Sunday Pass holders, the Seniors Sunday Pass will remain valid for use until the introduction of myki. If your contact details are changing or have changed already, follow the link below to download a Seniors Sunday Pass change of details form. Fill in your updated details, sign the privacy statement, and send it free of charge to the address listed on the form.

What can I use the Sunday Pass for?

The Sunday pass entitles the holder to travel on metropolitan trains, trams and buses in Zones 1 + 2 on Sundays. It is also valid for travel on bus services within the Ballarat Transit System; Bendigo Transit System; Geelong Transit System; and town bus services of Mildura, Moe, Morwell, Traralgon and Warrnambool.

The Sunday Pass replaces the Seniors Sunday Pass. Victorian Seniors Card holders can also apply for a Sunday Pass.

Free Travel Vouchers

Once you have applied for a Sunday Pass, Disability Support Pensioners and Carer Payment recipients under 60 living in Victoria will also receive two Pensioner and Carer's Off-Peak Free Travel Vouchers in the mail. These vouchers can be exchanged for two return journeys on V/Line train and coach services in Victoria at times when spare seats are available.

Applying for a Sunday Pass

Customers applying for a Sunday Pass at stations or the MetShop need to fill out a form and show evidence of their entitlement. The following concession cards are proof of entitlement for a Sunday Pass:

 

  • Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card

When applying for a Sunday Pass you will need to ensure you have a Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card. Check the back of the card for the 3- letter concession code. The only valid codes for issuing a Sunday Pass are 'DSP' and 'CAR'.

  • Victorian Seniors Card

When processing an application for a Sunday Pass where a Seniors Card is offered as proof of entitlement, only Victorian Seniors Cards are valid proof of entitlement for issuing a Sunday Pass.
