This concession card is available to:

• war veterans residing in Victoria who have undertaken war/peacekeeping/peacemaking services overseas and are in possession of a Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Gold or White Card. The applicant must supply documentary evidence of overseas service from one of the following theatres of war:
  
  

  - World War 2 (3/09/1939 - 28/04/1952)
  - Korea (27/06/1950 - 19/04/1956)
  - Malaya (29/06/1950 - 30/09/1967)
  - Vietnam (31/07/1962 - 29/04/1975)

• ADF / Peacekeepers. The applicant must supply Association Papers as documentary evidence of related conflicts. These include but are not limited to:

  - Afghanistan (War on Terror and UNMCTT)
  - Africa (Sierre Leone, Namibia, Somalia, Rawanda etc)
  - Cambodia
  - East Timor
  - Gulf War 1 and 2

• War widows/ers residing in Victoria in possession of a DVA Gold or White Card. A photocopy of the DVA Gold or White Card should be attached to this application.

Holders of the following concession cards are currently ineligible for a War Veterans / War Widows Concession Card:

• Victorian Seniors Card
• Victorian Health Care Card
• Australian Pensioner Concession Card
• Victorian Public Transport Free Pass
• Any other concession card valid for concession fares on public transport in Victoria.

War Veteran and War Widow Concession Card holders will receive their new myki Concession Card when myki has been rolled out across the public transport network.

You can continue to travel on concession fares by showing your current concession card to public transport staff. Your current concession card will remain valid until the arrival of myki across the network.
