Health Care Card

This card is issued by Centrelink and entitles the holder to concession fares on public transport services within Victoria and interstate legs of V/Line coach services and Link services.

Only cards with a Victorian address are valid.

Holders of a Health Care Card are entitled to travel on a concession ticket. Dependents named on the card can also buy concession tickets if they are aged 16 years or younger or if the person has a valid concession card issued in their own name (e.g. Seniors Card, Pensioner Concession Card or a Victorian Public Transport Student Concession Card). Dependants listed on Health Care Cards may be able to apply to Centrelink to have a Health Care Card issued in their own name.
